Elliot Cracknell
I have been living in Sedbury for the last 5 years with my very young family and have had links to the area spanning back over 20 years. I have a first class honours degree in sports coaching and performance and have since then been working at Dean Close St John’s as a sports lead for 14 years. My passion is to assist in continuing the growth of the youth programme within our area and provide children, of various ages, the opportunity for developing skills through a fun environment, engaging activities to include families and education.

Jan Stead
After training as a nurse and midwife in England I moved to Chepstow in 1974. I worked within the nursing profession for 40 years which included as a Burns Sister in St Lawrence Hospital, Infection Control Nurse and Nurse Lecturer. I have a degree with the Open University and a MSc in Health Care Management. I was also a steward with the RCN and a parent governor in Chepstow Comprehensive. I brought up by daughter as a single parent following my husband’s death when she was 9 months old. I moved to Sedbury in 1999 and have lived in Beachley since 2011. Since retiring I have become more aware of social concerns. I have been in contact with Mark Harper MP about lack of recycling within the forest following an unsatisfactory reply from FODDC. I contacted the parish council, with my concerns, following a RTA outside my house where the speed limit is currently 50 mph. I attended a meeting in Cafe on the Hill with the police, earlier this year, where I was asked by the chairman if I had considered joining the parish council. I thought that I may be of benefit to the community by joining and I am particularly interested in Youth, Environmental and Road Safety issues. I have always been an advocate of women’s issues so when I realised there was a lack of women on the parish council, I felt I should apply to join.
